Nonostante che l’Organizzazione del Trattato Nord Atlantico (NATO) abbia invocato motivazioni umanitarie per intervenire nel conflitto Libico, i risultati hanno dimostrato un approccio meno umanitario. Nel giugno 2011 gli aerei NATO hanno bombardato principalmente infrastrutture idriche che provvedevano acqua potabile a circa il 70% della popolazione.

In un fallito tentativo di apparire inapprensibile e obiettiva, la BBC a conflitto terminato rivelò che le Forze Speciali Britanniche giocarono un ruolo decisivo nel supervisionare e guidare i “combattenti per la libertà” libici alla vittoria. La notizia era già stata pubblicata da un media indipendente un anno prima ma ignorata dai network informativi, BBC compresa.
